Athletic Club Lake Otsego Swim Plaque, commemorating her 2003 record setting
swim. The youngest person to swim the lake, Helen recorded the third fasted
womens time, 4 hours and 48 minutes.

Mackie, says that CAC is sure there will be several attemps to swim the
Lake during the 2004 season, which in Cooperstown, can last up to a full
week (just kidding, you know the old joke about Cooperstown having 9 months
of winter and 3 months of bad skiing?)
The lake is swim is usually attempted in August
and measures 9 miles from the Springfield Landing to the Cooperstown Lakefront
docks. anyone interested in making the swim should contact Angus Mackie
